I'm the "Roger" in Roger That Handyman Services. It's always been my passion to spend time doing what I love --- fixing things. Whether it's been for my family, neighbors or friends, I'm the guy people call when they want something around the home fixed -- the right way.
As a degreed Mechanical Engineer from the University of Notre Dame, I spent workdays in my first career in the auto industry busily solving problems and creating fixes on hundreds of car (and Jeep) designs. In my free time I repaired and updated my own and many others' homes, applying those same engineering skills --- and having learned a variety of "tricks of the trade" from my Uncle Ernie, a master finish carpenter and general contractor. After more than 30 years experience on home repair projects, there are few household repairs that I haven't seen before and know how to fix, with long-lasting quality. But to also give you more even confidence and security, I am a Tennessee licensed home improvement contractor as well as being fully insured and bonded.
Since retiring from the auto industry and relocating to Knoxville, I have made it my second career to do full-time what I love. That is to be the best handyman you can find. And by "best" I don't just mean that I can fix a whole lot of things well, because there are other qualified repairmen out there. But I like to think I'm better because of how I treat my customers, like family.
I'm not embarrassed to say that I pride myself in having very old-fashioned values, starting with being someone who still takes great pride in everything I do. I guarantee outstanding quality and service because I am meticulous and precise in how I approach every job. What sets me apart from others, however, are my old-fashioned values about treating people with the utmost courtesy and respect.
